I'm like totally new on itch's publishing side of things. I've made games before I swear! But thems all so crappy it's better they stay as prototypes in my computer. Idek what I should be putting in here, so you can have my blabberings.

I usually prefer Godot as my game engine, but when I tried making a visual novel in it (Ik I'm stupid, I should've used renpy) the whole thing collapsed on itself. As the defeated wolf (or was it a lion? I remember there being a saying like that) returns to it's cave/jungle (?) it struck gold. The industry standard which is renpy! 

Comparing godot to renpy is like comparing an iPhone to android. Both has it's perks, but in some aspects, one is better than the other. Renpy being mostly "code" based made me want to rip out my hair. Godot having a shit ton of systems to even implement something easy like a visual novel scripting environment made me wanna commit heinous crimes (I'm kidding ofc). 

Both were relatively easy for me to get into because both of these engines use Python. However, GDscript was infact for some odd reason, harder to understand than renpy's ...renpy script? renpyscript is actually just python, with some additional libraries, or so I've heard, maybe that's why. And I'm never shutting up about getting 97/100 on my Python Programming class in college! That helped a lot too... HOWEVER, I ended up forgetting a shit ton of stuff cause I'm the kind of student that studies the day before the exam, and because of that, I used a shit ton of if statements. I aint even gon lie, like when I say a lot, I mean A LOT!If you take count of the if statements I've used, you could probably have a town of if statement people.

Aside from my very obvious crap code, I actually enjoyed making something! Tbh, I still have a lot more to add, like music and ending cutscenes, but from what I do have, I enjoyed every single moment of it (Maybe not too much when it came to showing the nsfw part to my friend lol)
